I have always loved the fresh, innocent look of white lace and I have noticed lots of designers (Isabel Marant, Chloe, Elie Saab, Roberto Cavali, Valentino…) have used this delicate fabric for their ultra feminine Spring collections. All with their own philosophy and personal stamp.
What they all do have in common though, is using the openwork of the lace to show lots of skin and undergarments for a sexy, but always respectable, peek-a-boo effect.
Here are my runway picks for some pure white delight this Spring but to make this trend work in daily life, I would simply go for a white lacey top or T-shirt dress, combine it with solid white trousers and finish this trendy Spring look with delicate white or nude accessories. (I’ll share with you my personal accessory picks that will match this look seamlessly later this week)
Another great idea to make this trend work is to combine the white lace with contrasting textures, like a black leather jacket or pants or combine it with soft cashmere, satin or white fur to add some interest to the already soft look and feel of the lace.
Anyway, I cannot wait for Spring to come and to find wearable examples on the web to share with you later this year!
With love,
