Ochre Gold

After being off the radar for a couple of months, due to our international move back home, I am finally behind my desk again to start sharing new blogs with you…all inspired by the European styles and trends that I am surrounded with here, in both the fashion,- and interior worlds!

So to start of the new series of blogs I decided to start with a safe topic that certainly works for both worlds: the new color of the year 2016.

The beautiful warm copper blush color of 2015 has made place this year for the warm and strong color Ochre Gold as new color or the year.

As you might know the Global Aesthetic Center of Akzo Nobel every year develops a study in conjunction with leading design and color experts from around the world (who conduct detailed research into global social and design trends) to find the latest trends in colors.

This year, trend watchers say, we find ourselves at a unique crossroads in time, where we can see the advantage of both tradition and modern innovation; where the importance of weighing up opposite opinions and views has never been stronger.

Digital and modern techniques are here to stay, but we look for inspiration from the past to be able to design for the future.
